When We Are Closed

If you require urgent medical assistance or advice outside of normal surgery hours please call 111. The service is free to call 24/7/365.

When should I use 111?

  • when you need medical help but not a 999 emergency
  • when you cannot see your GP either when it is closed or you are away from home
  • when you think you need A&E or another urgent care service
  • when you need health information or advice

There are other NHS services available as an alternative to A&E; read more here

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
